The ferocious campaign against Al Azhar's heritage and curricula is led by persons who wish the East to turn one day to West's culture and disregard morals and religion, Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb said.
Another team is led by extremist who oppose Azhar's modesty, the Grand imam said in a weekly interview with the Egyptian state TV that will be aired Friday.
