Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated his challenger, Muhammadu Buhari, for winning the country's presidential elections, a member of Buhari's campaign organization said.
Jonathan called Buhari in the late afternoon "to congratulate him on his victory and assure him of maximum cooperation and a smooth transition," Paul Ibe said.
