Outgoing Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab extended thanks to the government ministers and entrusted them with a caretaker mission till the formation of a new government.

Mahlab convened a meeting with his ministers on Saturday afternoon for the last time as he submitted his resignation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who accepted it.

The government meeting lasted for 10 minutes and it was attended by all ministers except Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail who was assigned by Sisi to form a new government within a week.
