Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir Tuesday condemned the comments of United States President Donald Trump against Pakistan.
Commenting on Donald Trumps’ recent Tweet, he said, US President must not shift the blame of their defeat in Afghanistan to Pakistan.
US is badly failed to establish peace in Afghanistan despite spending billions of dollars. While Pakistan has endured losses of $120 billion in war against terrorism and Trump could not be fool the world by propagating about giving $33 billion aid to Pakistan sans any benefits to the US.
The minister said Donald Trump was persistently using derogatory language against Pakistan adding even US’s friendly countries had not been spared by the US President which was isolating them from rest of the world.
He said US people were deeply perturbed over the behaviour of their President Trump. The US had recently endured historic defeat in United Nations General Assembly and Security Council over favouring Israel.
Pakistan’s political and military leadership had already announced no more in response the US’s demand of ‘do more’.
He urged resolution of core Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions for achieving lasting peace in the region. He said Pakistan’s sacrifices for making the Afghansitan safe must be acknowledged and genuine stakeholders should be supported to eliminate terrorism from South Asia.
