Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visted the residence of deceased minor girl Zainab in Kasur on Thursday and met her father and other family members.
He expressed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said it was very
tragic and he would not rest till justice was provided to the victim’s family.
“We will not only ensure justice but its process
would also be transparent to all. This atrocious incident is
a matter of concern for all of us and I am duty-bound to
ensure that justice is provided to the victim’s family immediately.”
The chief minister said that the cruel criminal, who
committed the horrific act, would not escape exemplary
punishment. Every human being is sad on this abhorrent incident,
a handout issued here said.
“The Punjab government stands with your family and every possible
support would be provided to you. It is my promise that I shall
ensure justice to you at any cost,” he told the parents.
The chief minister offered Fateha for the departed soul
and also consoled with the father of the late Zainab.
