Jordan has condemned a terrorist attack that targeted a police convoy west of Arish in northern Sinai, eastern Egypt, on Monday evening, killing and injuring scores of policemen.
The Jordan News Agency quoted the Minister of State for Media Affairs, the government official spokesman Mohammad Al-Momani, as saying that Jordan stands by Egypt in addressing blind terrorism and terrorists who target its security and stability.
He also reiterated Jordan's firm position on the inhumane crimes committed by terrorists and the need for concerted international and regional efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms.
Al-Momani expressed Jordan's condolences to the Egyptian people, the Egyptian government and the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
