Judges club condemns defaming campaign against Zend

The Judges Club condemned "an organized and systematic campaign" by some media outlets against Justice Minister Ahmed el Zend.
"All allegations and lies are currently promoted on purpose," said the club's spokesman Hamdy Abdel Tawwab.
"There is a state of extreme anger and discontent prevailing among judges due to these campaign," he said.
He asserted that Zend is a symbol of the Egyptian judiciary, adding that the club would file lawsuits against media anchor Youssef Husseini.
He stressed that the bulk of the Egyptian people support Zend.
