The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the terrorist attack on the German Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan last Friday leading to the death of at least 6 civilians and wounding many more others.
While emphasizing the inviolability of the premises and members of diplomatic missions, the OIC General Secretariat called on the Afghan authorities to bring the perpetrators of this terrorist attack to justice.
The OIC General Secretariat also strongly condemned the deadly blast that took place at Dargah Shah Noorani shrine in the Balochistan province in Pakistan on Saturday which resulted in the killing of at least 43 people and wounding hundreds of others.
In denouncing this reprehensible act of terror that targeted innocent worshippers at the shrine, the General Secretariat expressed its support to the efforts of the Government of Pakistan in its war against terrorism.
The General Secretariat further reiterated the principled position of the OIC that vigorously denounces all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations, just as it categorically rejects any justifications for terrorism.
