Orthodox church condemns Wahat attack
The Orthodox church,
Cairo - MENA
The Orthodox church, led by Pope Tawadros of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, condemned a killing of policemen in a shootout in the desert of Wahat on Friday.
In a press release, the church offered condolences to the families of the killed and wished recovery for the injured.
It showed solidarity with the state institutions in combating terrorism.
"We will always remain supporters of all efforts and sacrifices of the army and police in their fights against terrorism," said the statement
