Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his ministry's staffers mourned Egypt's Ambassador to Cuba Reda Halim who died at his office in Havana on Tuesday.
Shoukry offered condolences to the family of the late diplomat, describing him as a model for "dedication to work."
The late diplomat exerted strenuous efforts at the level of upgrading Egyptian-Cuban relations in all fields, Shoukry said.
Meanwhile, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati said that Shoukry received a phone call from his Cuban counterpart who offered condolence over the death of the diplomat.
