Abu dhabi - Arab Today

The UAE has strongly condemned the twin bombings in a market in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, claiming lives and wounding a number of people.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has confirmed the UAE's unwavering stance that rejects violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations. It also stressed that such criminal acts that target civilians and terrorise innocent people are incompatible with all moral values and human principles.

The statement called for enhancing international cooperation and rallying efforts to eradicate this dangerous scourge that threatens security and stability of the countries of the world.

The ministry also expressed sincere condolences to the Iraqi people, government and the families of the victims, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
