Artist Haitham Al Jumaili from Anbar governorate launched a campaign to remove “Daesh” wall’s writings from Anbar’s streets and bridges and replace them with artworks and different drawings. This campaign was Al Jumaili idea, and he cooperated with volunteers from the city residents, students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Fallujah, and Fallujah directorate to conduct this project.
“Peace phrases, “We are all Iraq” painting, red flowers and green trees are the most prominent works we are now implementing in bridges and walls” Al Jumaili said. The campaign will cover the city entrances, checkpoints, offices and police stations’ walls in order to spread hope, and it will also include the rest of Anbar town such as, Ramadi, Khalidiya, Haditha, and Hit. Al Jumaili expressed his wish to share his works in Baghdad to help spread a love message and to eliminate extremism.
