Farouk Hosni Cairo - Akram Ali Assistant Minister of Justice for combating Illicit Gain, Assem El Gohary, has referred Farouk Hosni, former Minister of Culture, to the criminal court for the abuse of power and his inability to justify his 18 million Egyptian pound fortune growth. Montasser Saleh, who carried out the investigation proved that the defendant used his influential function and power to get this fortune and thus was referred to the criminal court under the above accusation. Saleh listened to Farouk Hosni’s statement about the sources of his wealth and discovered that he owns real estate fortunes, stocks and bonds as well as bank accounts worth millions of Egyptian pounds. It was also proved that there was an increase of 18 million Egyptian pounds in his fortune which he failed to justify.
