Coordination is underway between the ministries of antiquities and interior to secure all archaeological sites nationwide in order to provide full security for tourists and Egyptian visitors, said Antiquities Minister Mamdouh Damati.

In press statements during a tour in a number of archaeological sites in Aswan, Damati said that a number of youths will be trained to work as guards inside temples and archaeological sites in coordination with the antiquities ministry and tourism police.

Damati noted that he directed to inspect all electronic gates in all archaeological areas and repair damaged devices immediately.
