Former Moroccan culture minister Mohamed El-Ashari has released his new novel "Three Nights" which speaks about three different ages, the first was about the occupation period, the second was about the difficult times experienced in the country and the third was focusing on the modern age.
He told Morocco Today that the linkage between the three ages is the situation of women amid different political and social changes. The novel presents four main characters, including Yamna, Rahemo, Amena and Naima who personalize the tragedies of women through different ages.
El-Ashari said that he depended on the storytelling mechanism, while the first part was featuring an eastern atmosphere, the second part was characterized with fiction and fantasia, while the third part was more like documentary movies which record all the moments of the characters.
