Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah discussed with Director General of British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Arabic Radio Adel Suleiman prospects of cooperation between the two bodies. The meeting, held on Wednesday, discussed organizing training courses for KUNA's employees at the BBC Academy. Moreover, Sheikh Mubarak mulled benefitting from BBC's expertise in electronic editing, photo linking, and using social networks to promote the agency's services. KUNA Chief was briefed about the work mechanism and the modern technology used at the BBC's different departments. For his part, Adel Suleiman praised the level of development in Kuwaiti media, noting that it is the best among Arab countries for all the freedom it enjoys. Moreover, he spoke highly about the role played by KUNA in covering local and Arab events. Later, Sheikh Mubarak has also visited KUNA's office in London, where he met with head of the office Khalid Al-Daihani. He underlined the importance of abiding by neutralism and transparency in the news coverage. Furthermore, he called for using the latest technology to assure a fast transfer of news items to the Agency in Kuwait. Sheikh Mubarak has also called on the office to cover events in all fields including politics, economy, and society
