Bilateral business deals Nouakchott - Habib el-Quershy A key Egyptian official in Mauritania has praised the level of economic cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador in Nouakchott, Ahmed Fadel Jacob, told Arabstoday in an exclusive interview that Egypt and Mauritania had “shown the intention to activate relations” in a range of fields. Egyptian authorities have already selected 56 medical professionals to work in Mauritanian hospitals following a request by the country’s health ministry. “The Mauritanian government is focusing on international tenders with Egypt,” Fadel Jacob said. Both countries are also cooperating in training journalists inside Mauritania.
