First Gulf Bank offers an Islamic banking alternative Dubai - Arabstoday First Gulf Bank has opened two new branches in Dubai. The second largest lender in the United Arab Emirates, has taken its total number of branches in Dubai to five. In a statement, First Gulf Bank CEO Andre Sayegh said the expansion is about meeting customer demands, "our new additions come within our expansion plan, in which we aim to reach out to our customers to provide utmost convenience of banking at extended timings too." The Abu-Dhabi based company has 16 branches in total across the country. "Our main aim is to deliver consistent, high standards of customer service and innovative offerings and products across our nation. We are dedicated to provide the best financial solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our clients," Sayegh added. First Gulf Bank is currently offering a new Islamic banking service in a bid to attract a niche customer demographic. In 2007, it opened an office in Singapore to take advantage of the growing Asian market.
