Kuwaiti and Jordanian representatives sign the agreement Amman - Arabstoday Kuwait and Jordan signed here Sunday four agreements in which Kuwait would donate around USD 259.5 million to Jordan to help the country develop projects in the health, education, higher education and water-resources sectors. The agreements were signed by Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab Al-Bader and Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Jafar Abed Hassan, Kuwait news agency reported. KFAED Director Al-Bader said the fund would send in a delegation in the first quarter of 2013 to follow-up on deals within the energy domain, adding that both sides would also focus on the details of the other future projects soon. On his part, Minister Hassan affirmed that the assistance by KFAED was much appreciated by his country, hoping that Kuwait and Jordan would continue to seek further development in their strong relations. Kuwait and Jordan in the beginning of December signed three agreements worth USD 695 million to help develop projects in the housing, municipal and transportation sectors. Kuwait’s loan agreements are within the Kuwaiti USD 1.25 billion contribution of the GCC development fund to Jordan. Source : QNA
