Benfica are four points clear at the top of the Portuguese Liga table after a late show helped them crush Arouca 4-0.
No goals had been scored by the 75th minute but, once Anderson Talisca opened the scoring, the floodgates opened. Marinho Derley added a second, Eduardo Salvio a third and then Ivan Cavaleiro wrapped things up.
Porto are second after beating Braga 2-1. They led through Bruno Martins Indi but were pegged back by Ze Luis. Half-time substitute Juan Quintero won it 14 minutes after coming on.
Early season pacesetters Rio Ave stuttered to a 0-0 draw against Nacional, while that was also the score between Academica and Moreirense. Nwankwo Simy put bottom side Gil Vicente ahead against Estoril but Pinheiro Kleber earned a 1-1 draw before half-time.
Belenenses also drew 1-1 at home to Vitoria Setubal, Deyverson cancelling out Joao Schmidt's opener from the spot. Finally, Edson Paraiba got off the bench to give Pacos Ferreira a 3-2 win over Maritimo. Bruno Moreira and Moussa Maazou had traded braces before Paraiba won it with 23 minutes left.
