Braga went top of the Portuguese Liga as Marcio Mossoro and Rodrigo Lima scored the goals in the 2-1 win over Academica, making it 13 successive wins in the league. Mossoro opened the scoring after 36 minutes and Lima netted on the stroke of half-time before David Simao got a consolation for Academica after 62 minutes, five minutes after coming on as a substitute. The win took Braga a point above FC Porto at the top of the table, while Academica remain five points above the relegation zone. Maritimo had to come from behind to win 3-2 at home to Gil Vicente as Christian Pouga scored a late winner five minutes after entering the action as a replacement. Ramos Heldon gave Maritimo the lead after just three minutes before Gil Vicente took control with goals from Ze Luis Andrade and Luis Carlos Lima a minute later. Nuno Briguel levelled the game up after 62 minutes before Pouga settled it with four minutes to go.
