Moscow - Arabstoday

Fabio Capello has called up Kuban Krasnodar goalkeeper Alexander Belenov and Real Madrid midfielder Denis Cheryshev to his Russia squad to play a friendly against USA in Krasnodar on 14 November. Belenov, who has been in fine form this season, helping his side to contest for the league title, gets his first-ever call-up. Midfielder Cheryshev was a key player in the Russian U-21 team which qualified for the 2013 UEFA European U-21 Championship last month. There was no place in the squad for Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin and Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak, although Capello chose Maxim Grigoriev of Lokomotiv Moscow to boost his midfield. Grigoriev was in Capello's squad for last month's FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers against Portugal and Azerbaijan. He also brought in Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Igor Denisov. Russia squad: Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow), Alexander Belenov (Kuban Krasnodar), Vladimir Gabulov (Anzhi Makhachkala) Defenders: Alexander Anyukov, Renat Yanbayev (both Zenit St. Petersburg), Alexei Berezutsky, Vasily Berezutsky, Sergei Ignashevich (all CSKA Moscow), Andrei Yeshchenko (Lokomotiv Moscow), Vladimir Granat (Dynamo Moscow) Midfielders: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Dmitry Kombarov (both Spartak Moscow), Vladimir Bystrov, Igor Denisov, Viktor Faizulin, Roman Shirokov (all Zenit St. Petersburg), Denis Glushakov, Alexander Samedov, Maxim Grigoriev, Magomed Ozdoyev (all Lokomotiv Moscow), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA Moscow), Denis Cheryshev (Real Madrid/ESP) Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (Spartak Moscow), Alexander Kerzhakov (Zenit St. Petersburg), Alexander Kokorin (Dynamo Moscow), Fyodor Smolov (Anzhi Makhachkala) FIFA
