Copenhagen - Arabstoday

FC Copenhagen maintained their nine-point lead at the top of the Superliga after two early goals saw them to a 2-0 victory over Randers FC. Andreas Cornelius put the league leaders ahead in the 11th minute before Ragnar Sigurdsson doubled their advantage in the 25th minute. Copenhagen, who were denied a fourth consecutive league title by FC Nordsjaelland last season, failed to add to their advantage but it mattered little as they comfortably held on for victory. Defending champions Nordsjaelland ensured Copenhagen's points lead did not stretch to double figures after a 3-0 win at home to Brondby, who slumped to the bottom of the table. Anders Christiansen set the hosts on their way in just the fourth minute, with Mikkel Beckmann gave Nordsjaelland an added cushion in the 54th minute, before Mario Ticinovic added further gloss to the scoreline in the closing stages. Silkeborg moved off the foot of the table courtesy of a 3-1 win at fellow strugglers FC Midtjylland. The visitors made a fantastic start with goals from Jesper Bech and Dennis Flinta in the sixth and 18th minutes and, although Morten Rasmussen halved the deficit just after the hour mark, Bech's second 15 minutes from time settled matters.
