Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday

The upcoming summer transfer window is likely to see major movement unlike anything seen before in Europe. Not so much in terms of numbers, but in terms of top-level players and coaches who could very well be on the move. Of course, it all depends on the next one month and who wins and who loses at the titles’ end of the table. Manchester United win the Premier League and we could see Roberto Mancini move or moved from Manchester City. If Arsenal fail to finish fourth, Robin Van Persie could be on his way. If Chelsea don’t win the Champions League final, all Roberto Di Matteo’s good luck will be for nought. However, most intriguing is the Real Madrid-Barcelona equation. If Real win the Champions League to go with thei La Liga title already secure, Jose Mourinho will most likely move on. Nothing would please him more than to leave Spain as a champion and on top of Barcelona. If Mourinho moves, where will that leave the only player to challenge and measure up to Lionel Messi this season – Cristiano Ronaldo? Back at Manchester United, perhaps. Ronaldo has often hinted that he would like to move with fellow Portuguese Mourinho. However, the next best option for him is a United return. In telling comments in an interview to Zoo Magazine, republished in The Sun, Ronaldo was quoted as saying, “I speak with Sir Alex sometimes and of course I miss Manchester. “It felt like I left a family back there because I spent six years with all those guys and I still have a very good relationship with Ferguson and the rest of the lads. “I still speak with Rio Ferdinand, Nani, Anderson and Patrice Evra. I still see them as a big family, so of course I miss them.” Since then, the 27-year old Ronaldo has score 140 goals in 138 matches. His latest strike was the winning goal in Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Barcelona at the Nou Camp which sent Jose Mourinho’s men seven points clear at the top of La Liga. "The best moments of my career so far have been when I won the Champions League with Manchester United and when I won my first title here with Real Madrid.” Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has insisted the Spanish giants can turn things around in the return leg despite losing 2-1 at Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final. Germany striker Mario Gomez hit an 88th-minute winner in Tuesday night's first leg to put Bayern in pole position to reach the May 19 final at their own Allianz Arena stadium against either holders Barcelona or Chelsea. After France winger Franck Ribery gave Bayern an early lead, Real's Mesut Ozil equalised before Gomez's winning strike, but Mourinho says his team can hit back at their Bernabeu stadium in next Wednesday's return leg. "We have the second leg to come and it's not like we have to make a historical comeback, what we have to do is very achievable," said Mourinho, whose team are away to Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday in the Spanish league."If we win at home, we are there. "I am optimistic we can return here to play in the final. "I think a more justified result would have been a draw, but that's football. "Whoever scores goals wins games, simple as that. "It's not a bad result, it just means we have to win at home and turn it around. "It wouldn't be the biggest turn around in history, I still think the team can do it, the fans will be behind us, just like the fans helped Bayern. "We will prepare after Saturday's game and the team will be ready. "Real always plays to win and I would have liked to have won today."
