Spain coach Vicente del Bosque believes plenty of positives can be taken from his side's 2-2 draw with Costa Rica, even though they salvaged a result thanks to two goals in the last ten minutes. Los Ticos led the reigning European and world champions 2-0 at half-time in their friendly, after a mistake by goalkeeper Iker Casillas gifted Randall Brenes the opener and Joel Campbell added a second. Spain improved after the break but took until the 82nd minute to get back into the game when substitute David Silva combined with Andres Iniesta to fire home, before David Villa headed home a stoppage-time equaliser. However, despite the result coming swiftly after the 1-0 defeat by England at Wembley last week, Del Bosque remained upbeat. He told Marca's official website: "We have taken a step forward. I would emphasise the behaviour of these players. At times Costa Rica were better than us. In the second half we reacted, but at first we did not. "What has happened in the first half hurt us all, but it must not be attributed to a passive attitude. There are positives in this group that we should not lose." Barcelona's Iniesta was also critical of the first-half performance, adding: "It was a shame because I think we should have drawn the first half. We did not play well, admittedly, but in the second half I think it was the opposite. The good news is the reaction of the team. "They were much better in the first half and we did not live up to our status [of world champions] in those 45 minutes. As part of this positive reaction in the second half, the team created chances and we turned it around." The UEFA EURO 2012 draw will be held on 2 December, with Spain joined as seeds by the Netherlands and co-hosts Poland and Ukraine.
