Galatasaray end Cris contract

Turkish outfit Galatasaray said Wednesday they have ended by mutual agreement the contract of Brazilian defender Cris, who only arrived from French side Lyon last summer. Cris, 35, signed a two-year deal with the Turks but has rarely featured with the media criticising his poor form and pointing to some extra kilos the player has put on recently. Cris, a former Brazil international, spent eight seasons with Lyon, winning four league titles, and also featured for the Brazil team which won the 2004 Copa America. From : AFP
