Stuart Pearce to lead the side into the competition, having not featured since 1960 and will start their campaign on July 26 at Old Trafford against the African nation.Team GB will face Uruguay, Senegal and the UAE in the group stages of the 2012 London Olympics. The side's opening game will be against Senegal, who they will play at Old Trafford on July 26, before taking on UAE three days later and then their final group game coming against Uruguay on August 1.Stuart Pearce will lead the side to the tournament, with a Great Britain football team taking part for the first time since 1960, having won the competition twice in 1908 and 1912.The final group game against Uruguay will most likely be GB’s toughest test and could be a side made up of stars such as Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan.Senegal will be making their inaugural Olympics appearance in the men's football tournament and may call upon Newcastle United duo Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse. It is also the first time the UAE have qualified for the tournament, with the former head of Dubai’s Road Transit Authority, Mahdi Ali, taking the reins. The two top teams from each group will progress to the quarter-finals.The women’s GB outfit, meanwhile, will face Brazil, Cameroon and New Zealand, with their opener coming against the Kiwis at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on July 25.
