Hamburg on Wednesday ended any talk of Dutch star Eljero Elia joining Italian giants Juventus by insisting the 24-year-old is not for sale after rejecting an offer from the Serie A club. "We do not want to lose Eljero Elia and we have no need to sell him," said Hamburg's director of sport Frank Arnesen. "He is a very important player for us." Hamburg rejected a formal offer for the winger on Tuesday from Juventus, and the player, who signed from Dutch side FC Twente for nine million euros in 2009, said he just wants to concentrate on doing well with his present club. "I'm happy here and love playing for Hamburg, we want to put in a good season," said Elia, who insisted he has had no contact with the Turin club. "My agent didn't tell me anything about the offer because he wanted me to concentrate on Hamburg," he added, having signed a contract until 2014. Elia started in Hamburg's 3-1 defeat by champions Borussia Dortmund in their opening Bundesliga match last Friday. The north-German outfit host newly-promoted Hertha Berlin on Saturday in their next game.
