Berlin - Arabstoday

Hanover 96 have parted company with CEO Joerg Schmadtke after a series of disagreements with coach Mirko Slomka, the club confirmed Wednesday, three days before they face Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. After weeks of speculation and with Hanover 10th in the Bundesliga after just two wins in their last 10 games, Schmadtke and Hanover parted ways following a meeting with president Martin Kind earlier in the day. "We have decided to go our separate ways after a good conversation," Kind told SID, an AFP subsidiary. "Now we will put together a profile, scour the market for a replacement and then make a decision." Schmadtke, now 49, took up the post in July 2009 and helped Hanover reach the Europa League in the last two seasons, but they are currently four points from a place in Europe with five games left.
