QPR and Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar today discussed for the first time a possible return to boyhood club Flamengo. Cesar left the Rio de Janeiro club in 2005 to join Italian giants Internazionale, where he won the UEFA Champions League in 2010 as well as five Italian league titles. "I was in love with Inter, but passion is not the same as love. It passes. Love lasts forever. That' s how it is between me and Flamengo," he said. Cesar is currently keeping goal for English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers, who lie bottom of the table. With Brazilian football beckoning, the goalkeeper revealed his family have requested he return to the country and the club he adores. "My cousin went to the USA before I became a professional with Flamengo. Now he is asking me to return to the club because he is a big fan," the 33-year-old said. At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa Cesar was Brazil's first-choice goalkeeper. After the side were eliminated by the Netherlands in the quarter-finals he lost his place, but no keeper is yet to fully replace him in the two and a half years since. Cesar believes this gives him a chance to return to the Selecao for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Source:Xinhua
