Nobody is bigger than Liverpool FC. And at Anfield, nobody is bigger than Kenny Dalglish. Which is why it may all be over for Andy Carroll. And the hitman who at the beginning of the season saw his career fly off the handle when Kenny paid Newcastle £35million for him, may see himself battling to find new employment. It has emerged this morning in the British press that Andy Carroll launched into an abusive rant at Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish when he was substituted in the second half in a game Newcastle eventually won. King Kenny amazingly seemed to defend Carroll in his press notes afterwards. It’s a measure of his commitment to his players, but surely, the club comes first. The focus will now be on Kenny’s handling of his players and his decision to back them – remember Luis Suarez – even when they are rank out of line. Dalglish has now taken Liverpool on their worst run for more than 50 years. Speaking about Carroll’s outburst, Kenny said: "Maybe they were feeling sorry for themselves. "When Andy went off and up the tunnel, he was disappointed at the way the game had gone, not necessarily for himself but for the team." About Carroll’s alleged dive for penalty during the game, Dalglish added: "We have no qualms about when Andy went down with their goalkeeper. "It wasn 't a penalty but I thought that Andy was losing his balance anyway."
