Johannesburg - Arabstoday

A brilliant goal by Lehlohonolo Majoro seven minutes into stoppage time stole a 3-2 win for top-of-the-log Kaizer Chiefs over Moroka Swallows in the South African Premiership. Midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane netted the ball twice in the first half to put Chiefs in the lead, his first just seven minutes into the match in Johannesburg. The Birds equalised with Lerato Chabangu beating goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune in the 33rd minute. Bennett Chenene equalised again on the hour-mark, raising hopes of their first victory in five matches. Leading league scorer Majoro's goal from in front, however, left them joyless. Chippa United meanwhile scored a 2-1 victory over fourth-ranked Platinum Stars despite an own-goal in Cape Town. Striker Andile Mbenyane found the back of the net three minutes before full time for only their second win this season. Larry Cohen scored the opener 30 yards from the box in the 29th, and Nigerien goalkeeper Daouda Kassaly held off Stars' attempts to equalise. He could not prevent Martin Moonsamy's own-goal in the 40th when his back pass went wrong. No goals for Uniteds Meanwhile, Maritzburg United held Supersport United to a goalless draw that saw them climb to third place on the table in a game with few scoring chances. Zimbabwean-born Cuthbert Malajila's first-half goal was ruled offside, and his countryman Terrence Mandaza's stoppage attempt hit the feet of SuperSport goalkeeper Ronwen Williams in Pietermaritzburg. SuperSport played the second half with ten men after Ghanaian midfielder Edwin Gyimah was dismissed in the 48th for pulling back Malajila on the halfway line. Their failure to score meant a ninth draw in 11 matches this season. Despite frenzied last-quarter attempts at scoring, Wits and Ajax Cape Town also settled for a nil-all draw in Johannesburg. Visitors Ajax proved the more aggressive team in the first half, while the hosts dominated in the second. Ajax goalkeeper Sander Westerveld tipped Wits defender James Mayinga's free kick over the bar in the 11th minute. A second card in injury time saw Mayinga leave the field. Matthew Booth's attempt off a rebound when Lebogang Manyama's shot hit the upright after 60 minutes was cleared and left Ajax yet goalless. Zimbabwean national Khama Billiat's goal for the visitors meanwhile was ruled offside in the 80th minute. FIFA
