Celtic manager Neil Lennon said he was immensely proud after his side set a new club record of 11 consecutive clean sheets in the league following Sunday's 1-0 win over St Mirren. The Hoops won their 13th league match in a row as Fraser Forster kept his 11th clean sheet in a row to break the record first set by Charlie Shaw in 1913/14 before being equalled in 1922. The goal came in the fifth minute as Kris Commons opened the scoring for the 13th time this season as Celtic remain unbeaten after 24 league matches and move 21 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership. "It is something that we are very proud of and, I'm sure, particularly Fraser. It's not something we take for granted," Lennon said. "These are special times for the players. When they look back on their time here they can look at that as quite an achievement. "It's been a long time coming, obviously. I don't know how long the record has been in place for but to break it is absolutely fantastic. "I wasn't nervy at the end because we were in so much control of the game and I was really pleased with the performance." World record in view Forster hasn't conceded a goal in 1035 minutes of league football and is closing in on Edwin van der Saar's world record of 1311 minutes, set when the Dutch 'keeper was at Manchester United. "I wasn't aware of that and it's something we can aim for. It's something that really keeps our season alive," Lennon admitted. "We are pretty clear in the league so that's a yardstick for them to try and achieve. We also want to keep the unbeaten record going. That's 24 games and I can't ask any more of them really. "We've just hit a really good vein of form in terms of our football and I'm enjoying our movement and the way we're passing the ball." Source: FIFA.com
