Newcastle United have reached an agreement to sign France international right-back Mathieu Debuchy from Ligue 1 side Lille, Britain's Press Association reported on Sunday. Newcastle failed to complete a deal to sign Debuchy during the close season but the north-east club have reportedly agreed to pay six million euros (£4.9 million, $7.9 million) to acquire his services in January. Debuchy, 27, was a member of France's first team at Euro 2012 and a move to Newcastle would seem him reunited with his former Lille team-mate, Yohan Cabaye, who joined the club in 2011. From : AFP
