The Olympic gold medal in men's double kayak over 1,000 meters was won Wednesday by Rudolf Dombi and Roland Kokeny of Hungary. Fernando Pimenta and Emanuel Silva of Portugal took the silver and the bronze went to Martin Hollstein and Andreas Ihle of Germany. Portugal, with its first medal of the London Olympics, became the 74th country to win one.
