Olympic Medal: W Elliott 6m Sailing

Spain won the Olympic gold medal Saturday in sailing's Elliott 6-meter class, which involved almost two weeks of match racing. The Spanish women's crew of Tamara Echegoyen Dominguez, Sofia Toro Prieto Puga and Angela Pumariega Menendez had to go the full five races in the final before defeating the boat from Australia. The silver medal winning Australian crew consisted of Olivia Price, Nina Curtis and Lucinda Whitty. Finland won the bronze, only the second medal in any sport for that country at the London Games.
