Paris Saint-Germain
Paris - Arab Today

Paris Saint-Germain continued their unbeaten start to the season and moved into second in the French Ligue 1 table following a 2-0 victory over Caen at Stade Michel-d'Ornano. Lucas handed the visitors the lead midway through the first half before Marquinhos made the points safe ten minutes after the break. The win moved reigning champions PSG up three places to sit a three points behind leaders Marseille, while Caen dropped down to 14th as they remained winless from their last four games.
Nabil Fekir grabbed a brace as Lyon breezed past Lorient 4-0 at the Stade de Gerland. Lyon came into the match unbeaten in three games including a draw at the Parc de Princes last time out, while Lorient have only found the net in one game so far in what has been a worrying start to the season. That trend continued on Wednesday evening in a game which also saw Alexandre Lacazette and Clinton N'Jie find the target.
Valere Germain's last-minute goal gave Monaco a 1-0 victory at Montpellier. Just when it seemed the game was destined to end goalless, substitute Germain received the ball from Layvin Kurzawa and netted to give Monaco a second away win of the season, which moves them into mid-table.
Lille suffered their first league defeat of the season as Mathieu Bodmer's header condemned them to a 1-0 reverse at Nice. Bodmer converted from a Valentin Eysseric corner four minutes before the break to steer his team to what was their third win of the campaign.
Nantes continued their topsy-turvy start to the season as they were held to a goalless draw by strugglers Bastia at the Stade Armand Cesari. The hosts, who have won just one match so far this term - a 1-0 win over Toulouse in Corsica last month - at least managed to keep their second clean sheet as they fended off a penalty and fought on with ten men for the majority of the match after Yannick Cahuzac saw red five minutes before the break.
The point moved Nantes level on points with Metz, while it meant a leap out of the relegation zone for Bastia, who are now 16th. Ten-man Metz secured their first win away from the Stade Municipal Saint-Symphorien this season with a 1-0 victory at struggling Guingamp. Gaetan Bussmann's first goal of the season was enough to secure the visitors their third win this term and condemn EAG to a place in the bottom three. Yeni N'Gbakoto was sent off late on for his second yellow card of the game but Metz held on.
Evian finally grabbed their first league win of the season with a 2-1 triumph over newly-promoted Lens at the Parc des Sports. Daniel Wass fired the hosts into the lead after ten minutes, with Jonathan Mensah bundling home to make it 2-0 at half-time. Yoann Touzghar pulled one back for the visitors after the break with a sweetly struck volley, but Lens were unable to prevent embattled Evian boss Pascal Dupraz claiming a much-needed three points.
