New York Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler has told West Bromwich Albion and Bolton Wanderers to forget any hope they had of signing centre-back Tim Ream in next month's transfer window. With Major League Soccer currently in its off-season, United States international Ream spent last week with the Baggies keeping up his fitness, whilst this week he is training with Bolton. Albion manager Hodgson admitted to being impressed by Ream and was considering a loan deal for the second half of this season, whilst Bolton boss Coyle is keen to "see what he has to offer". However, Soler has made it clear the 24-year-old Ream will not be moving on in January. "Tim is going to play for us next year," Soler told MLSsoccer.com. "I met with him, as I did with every single player after the season, and my message was very clear. "We would like him to go on those two training sessions (with West Brom and Bolton) to gain experience, and also to have a personal benchmark on what the mid-or-lower Premier League would feel like. Apart from that we have absolutely no other plans than him returning here and gaining some experience that will be good for us."
