Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has praised the immediate impact of the partnership between Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, who both scored in the 5-0 win over Norwich City. Sturridge, 23, arrived from Chelsea in a £12m deal earlier this month and is just the seventh player in Liverpool history to score in each of his first three games for the club. The England international also set up Suarez's 20th goal of the campaign with a neat dummy as the two combined impressively. When Sturridge arrived, Rodgers faced questions about how he would accommodate the two players, but Suarez is thriving in a deeper role that gives him the freedom to roam. "Luis did what he's done for us all season, he gives 100 per cent in every game and he combines really well with Daniel up front," said Rodgers. "We had a real fluidity in our movement at the top end of the field because they're both players who aren't just static. Daniel's got pace and power, but he's also clever and the flow was good. Daniel gives the opponent someone else to really worry about. "Suarez has been incredible for us and had some young players up there with him, but he's now got a recognised goal-scorer up there alongside him. I've seen it in training in the early parts since they've been here and the combination has been really good." From FIFA
