Journeyman French striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle has signed a two-year deal with Rostov, the Russian Premier League club announced on their website on Wednesday. "I consider this move to Russia a new challenge in my career," said the 27-year-old former France under-21 international attacker. Sinama-Pongolle, whose wife is Russian, spent last season on loan in his homeland with Saint-Etienne from Sporting Lisbon. He began his career with Le Havre, before spells with Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Recreativo Huelva, Atletico Madrid and Zaragoza.
