Stephen Appiah in Iran to join Persepolis soccer club

The former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, is in Iran to join Persepolis soccer club. Appiah is training with Persepolis and has reached an agreement with the club' s officials but he has not been confirmed by the team's Portuguese coach Manuel Jose so far, Tehran Times daily reported on Sunday. The 32-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, who also played for Italian soccer clubs in the past years, has to go for a medical test in Iran within the days, said the report.
