Juventus pulled nine points clear at the top of Italian Serie A as a thunderous strike from Carlos Tevez sunk city rivals Torino 1-0 on Sunday. Tevez's clever shot on the turn after 30 minutes proved enough to restore the Italian champions' advantage over Roma, who edged out Bologna on Saturday night. Lazio emerged 3-2 victors after four goals in 11 frantic second-half minutes lit up the Stadio Olimpico and condemned Sassuolo to a sixth straight Serie A defeat. UEFA Europa League-chasing Lazio appeared happy enough to cling onto a slender lead after Stefan Radu added some excitement to a dull first half with a rare defender's goal. But, as soon as Sassuolo equalised through Sergio Floccari in the 72nd minute, Lazio went all out for the win, shrugging off Antonio Floro Flores' response to a Miroslav Klose strike to win the game thanks to Radu's second. A second-half fightback from relegation-battling Livorno fell short as European hopefuls Hellas Verona hung on for a 3-2 win in Tuscany. Three goals in the final 15 minutes of the first half from Bosko Jankovic, Romulo and Luca Toni put the visitors firmly in control but Livorno made a fight of it as Paulo Betanin and Leandro Greco scored two in the space of as many minutes with less than 20 minutes to go. AC Milan won 2-0 at Sampdoria with a goal in each half from Adel Taarabt and Adil Rami, while city rivals Inter needed a Rolando goal to earn a 1-1 home draw with Cagliari, who had led through Mauricio Pinilla's penalty. Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale's second-half penalty denied Atalanta their first away win since 5 October - the Bergamaschi looked to be heading for a long overdue success when Davide Brivio gave them a 24th-minute lead at the Stadio Friuli. Chievo halted a ten-match winless run with a 2-0 triumph over Catania. Cyril Thereau converted from the penalty spot in the 37th minute and Luca Rigoni doubled the lead midway through the second half. Source: FIFA.com
