Two Kuwaiti divers won gold and silver medals in Sofia International Diving tournament in Bulgaria, which concluded earlier in the day, Kuwaiti Swimming Federation said Saturday.
Head of the Kuwaiti delegation Sulaiman Qabazard told KUNA in a telephone call that Bader Al-Subaie won the gold medal in the one-meter springboard Under-nine years old category, after fierce competition from Arab and western divers, while Dhari Al-Zankawi won the silver in the three-meter springboard 10-11 years old category.
Qabazard, who is also the managing coach of national diving team, added that such good results in the tournament came after hard work and coach's efforts and administrative support for the team, praising Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Swimming Federation for their contribution in this regard.
The official stressed that this big win will bring a strong incentive for the players to achieve more good results in future tournaments.
