Ahly, Zamalek Ultras make peace pledge

Ultras Ahlawy and Zamalek Ultras White Knights have said they will take full responsibility for any violence during the upcoming Zamalek-Ahly match in the CAF Champions League. In a joint statement issued late Sunday, they said following the clashes which killed 74 people at Port Said Stadium in 2011, they will not let those calling for domestic football to be banned till retribution have their way. They claimed that the Ultras groups have never been a source of trouble, adding that there are some parties who benefit from tarnishing their image. Source: MENA
