The Egyptian national football team left Egypt in the early hours of Monday morning for Spanish capital Madrid, ahead of a friendly against Chile on Wednesday. The travelling party included Ahmed Mujahid, a board member of the Egyptian Football Federation and American coach Bob Bradley. The following squad was confirmed by Bradley before travelling: Essam El Hadary, Sharif Ekrami, Ali Lutfi, Wael Gomaa, Rami Rabia, Mohammed Ibrahim, Mohamed Enni, Ahmed Shedeed, Ahmed Fathi, Ahmed Said Oka, Hosni Abd Rabbo, Muhammad Salah, Al-sayed Hamdi, Ibrahim Salah, Omar Gaber, Mohamed Aboutrika, Ahmed Hassan Makki, Ahmed Hassan Coca, Mohamed Gedo, Abdullah Saeed, Adam Abed, and Ahmed Eltemsah. A number of players have been left out. English club Hull City defender Ahmed al-Muhammadi has failed to obtain a visa, Mahmoud Abdel Razek and Mohamed Abdel Shafi are injured, while Amr Zaki and Sherif Ashraf have not be considered for selection.
