Ismailia - Arab Today

World Egyptian diver Walaa Hafez has completed preparations to carry out the first diving mission in the New Suez Canal.

Hafez will attempt to dive for 125 kilometers on Tuesday morning to break a new world record as part of the celebrations for the opening of the new waterway.

He seeks to break Guiness World Records.

Egypt will inaugurate the New Suez Canal on Thursday, which will massively increase the capacity of the existing canal and offer an important opportunity to boost the country’s struggling economy.
