Manama - Arab Today

The First Fishermen's Day will be held tomorrow (November13) at Hidd port in Bahrain. The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning will hold the festival under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Vice President of Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club.
Marine Resources director Ibtisam Abdulla Khalaf said that the festival would include a trade show, a fishing exhibition and cafes, in addition to entertainment facilities for children. The three-day festival will also feature two fishing and pearling contests on Saturday. Up to 100 fisherman will take part in the exhibition which showcases pearling tools.
