New Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic has announced a 33-man squad for the team’s first camp under his reign that will take place in France on 7 to 11 August. The Bosnian tactician included some big names that were excluded from the Desert Foxes squad recently, especially Umm Salal midfielder Mourad Meghni, Birmingham midfielder Hameur Bouazza and Fulham defender Rafik Halliche. Some were left out because of injury and others for technical reasons but the coach wants to have a closer look at all his players and give them a new chance. Halilhodzic also made a first call up for Clermont Foot keeper Michael Fabre hoping he would join the team. The 27-year-old French keeper has Algerian origins and has already played for France at youth level but hopes to break through on the international scene with Algeria.
