Dubai International Marine Club, DIMC, has completed all preparations at Jumeirah Beach 3 to host the first round competitions of the UAE Water Bike Championship on on Saturday 10th January, including the safety and technical inspections.
Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Zahed, Vice President of DIMC, said, "This year, around 50 participants representing various international teams and countries will battle the first round of UAE Water Bike Championship competitions and we hope that this could be the best entertainment for all during this weekend, especially for families and children.
"The selection of Jumeirah Beach comes within the plans and goals of DIMC to highlight and introduce the key water sports locations of Dubai and different activities of the club in the country. The new location is an ideal water surface with perfect features and ease of public access to it. It is very convenient for viewing the competitions from all angles," he said.
The categories of competitions include Novice Runabout Stock, Ski Limited (Expert), Expert Runabout Stock, Pro Ski GP, Ski Junior Stock, Pro Runabout GP and Free Style.
World champions from nations including the US, UK, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Austria, France, Japan, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are participating in the Championship
