National Guard President His Highness Lt-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa on Wednesday patronised the conclusive activities of the eighth edition of the National Guard's Sports Day, marking the 20th anniversary of National Guard establishment.
Upon arrival, His Highness was accompanied with National Guard Staff Director Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa where he was received by the heads of divisions and senior officers.
The day's activities included the annual 42-km distance military marathon race, soccer cup matches and other athletic events.
His Highness congratulated the National Guard affiliates on this occasion, expressing his pride in the National Guard affiliates commending their efforts in carrying out their patriotic duties in the service of the homeland under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the Supreme Commander.
Finally, His Highness delivered the championship prizes to the two top winning teams.
